Homing
swan riot somatics offers a place to explore the gentle vulnerabilities, inner riots and fierce stirrings of inner work through embodied awareness. It’s the slow process of untangling patterns that no longer serve you. To reclaim a sense of home in yourself; a homing that reshapes the worlds you belong to.
swan riot speaks
to the swanlike vulnerabilities and inner riots that you move through in the process of inner work.

swan riot somatics is a space where you can slowly connect with the valuable information held in your whole body (thoughts, feelings, sensations) and the parts of you that have been rejected or denied.
You'll be gently supported to work through relational wounds and the wider systemic pressures shaping your life, while exploring how stress, loss and grief, or chronic shame lives in your body.
Together we cultivate an embodiment of your agency, so you can recognise and advocate for your needs and boundaries and foster a kindly and trusting relationship with yourself.
swan riot offers an intentional, attuned, trauma informed approach that centres your lived experience and values.
I mostly work with LGBTIQA+ communities, but welcome people of all sexualities, cultures, identities, genders, bodies, and disabilities.
If you'd like to know more about what issues I support or how sessions run check the Areas of Support and FAQ links below.

Welcome!
Hi! I'm Jager Corvus (they/them).
I'm a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner™ & Social Work Counsellor
Who I am
I've been 52 years around the sun and the moon's orbit. I'm a "MamaBeastThing" to a few critters and a bunch of witchy poo herbs and plants. I've been vegan for ethical reasons for over 30 years. I enjoy collecting and reading tarot. I love being in dense, mossy nature and bodies of water; it simmers my double Leo fire down to the bones. More than this, I know I am interconnected with nature and other animals, so all my human drag falls away.

My Ethos
My work is guided by animist principles that recognise our interbeing with other animals and the more-than-human world. For me, inner work is fractalized outward, because when we deepen our relationship with ourselves, we also deepen our responsibility to show up in right relationship with others - actively holding respect for their dignity. I am frequently reminded of our interbeing during sessions, as people move through somatic processes, they often sense the soothing and protective qualities of animals, bodies of water, skyscapes, soil, rhizomic networks, elemental forces, or something beyond human. In these moments, alienation is revealed as the anomaly. Our body reminds us of our interconnectedness, dissolving the colonial myth of separation.
Where I come from
My ancestors came to the southeastern states of so-called Australia from the 1800s via the British colonial government's ‘assisted migration’ project, settling on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung, Ngunnawal, and Wiradjuri peoples. They were working-class families from the UK. Their position as white settlers enabled them access to land, education, employment, and government support (advantages I still benefit from today). I acknowledge the ongoing impacts of colonisation on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and recognise the role my ancestors played in this history.
Sovereignty was never ceded.
Always Was, Always Will Be, Aboriginal Land.

Somatic Experiencing®
Reflecting on your experiences of relational rupture, trauma and systemic pressures can be a meaningful process. Yet, noticing how these experiences turn up in the body through bracing, tension, emotional surges, nervous system dysregulation, and protective responses offers deeper insight into their impact. Somatic Experiencing® supports trauma integration and embodied awareness. I use a generative somatics approach, that centres your dignity, agency, and choice, and is rooted in the understanding that bodies are shaped by relational ecologies and broader systems of culture and power.
